Breakfast with Santa

This was a very big day. PopPop's Rotary Club helped put together breakfast with Santa. Mak was up and ready about 6am, we were at the restaurant at 8am and the guest of honor arrived about 8:45. (that's a lot of waiting) Santa was wonderful. He visited every table and then Makena was second to sit on his lap. Once upon the big guy's knee, she showed him her shoes. They had quite a conversation about her pretty shoes with the harts on them, and then she wished him a Merry Christmas. After it was all said and done, Makena was worried about Santa getting some rest, and most impressed he knew she loves candy canes. It was a wonderful morning filled with "Hello"s and "Merry Christmas"s shouted across the restaurant to all who were there for breakfast with Santa. (ps. Makena insisted on wearing the Santa hat - she gets that from her PopPop.)
